This tutorial is going to teach you how to add an outline behind your sitemodel.

Final Product

Materials Needed

Step One

Start by opening up your photo, editing your sitemodel, and adding in a vector.

Go to Window / Layers to open up your Layers Palette and when it pops up, hold control click on your sitemodel preview layer.

Doing this will create a selection around your sitemodel.

Step Two

Go to Select / Modify / Expand.

In the box, type a number between 10 and 20. I usually do about 15. Hit ok.

Step Three

Fill this new expanded selection with a PSD of your choosing. Here are three different options.
Trippy PSD

Sign Background PSD

Pattern PSD

And that’s it!

This simple effect spices up signs and takes away some of the “dead space” you may be trying to cover.
